Altenew Educators’ "Clean and Simple" Blog Hop and Linky Party + Giveaway

Hi everyone! And a special hello to everyone who came here from Ann Taylor’s blog!

It’s time for another fun Altenew Blog Hop! This time it’s just for my fellow Educators, and the theme is Clean and Simple (CAS) Cards! I have two for you!

First, let me tell you a little about the Hop because this one is a little different!

$130 in total prizes! Altenew is giving away a $20 gift certificate to 3 lucky winners and a $15 gift certificate to 4 winners! To win, please comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 07/03/2022.

There’s MORE! Join our party! We have included an Inlinkz at the Altenew blog for you to enter your beautiful, Altenew “Clean and Simple” creations.

We will pick one of our favorite handmade creations from those who joined the linky party, and they will receive a $10 Altenew gift certificate!

Altenew will draw 5 random winners from the comments left on each blog hop stop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 07/04/2022.

Now back to the cards!

I wanted to make a card that fit the clean & simple theme, but was a little “special”. I used the Pattern Play - Diamond cover stamp, with Rose Gold embossing powder to create the background pattern. I wanted to use a pretty die, and I decided that I’d alter a die I already had. I cut the Circled Greetings: Hello Die from Navy cardstock then cut the “hello” from the center of the circle. I carefully stamped the bottom of the word with embossing ink, then dipped it into Rose Gold embossing powder, giving a pretty luster to the word, without making it too fussy. I mounted the card front onto a card made from Winter Clouds cardstock. Clean AND Simple!

This card has more images, but the single color and repeating image give it the clean and simple look I was going for. I used the box and heart images from the Celebrations Stamp Set, and colored in some of the details with Pinkalicious Artist Marker, from the Sunshine Valley Garden alcohol marker set. Using a greeting from the Sentiment Strip 2 stamp set, I stamped and embossed it on Pinkalicious Cardstock from the Cherry Blossom Gradient Cardstock set. I attached it with Instant Dimension Foam Tape. Now it’s ready for a bridal or baby shower!

Well, that’s all from me! I hope you enjoyed spending a little time with me, and I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop! Now you can either start from the beginning at the Altenew Blog or move on to Nenette S. Madero (so many choices!). Don’t forget to leave a comment, and please give me a follow on Facebook and Instagram!

Take care, and be kind

Hugs,

Sue xo
