I’ve been talking about blogging for months – maybe years – but I’m finally here!
I’ve been stamping since 1999, my first project was Christmas gift tags, embossed in the oven! The OVEN! That’s safe, right?! I don’t do scrapbooks – yet. Never say never!
I’m going to be sharing card ideas, cardmaking tips, my favorite products, and occasionally a giveaway or two!
Most of my cards are “Clean and Simple” (CAS), so you aren’t going to see a lot of fussy cutting and crazy details. Most of my cards have a white base card to make them a little more economical. Wait! That’s a tip – use white card bases for your cards – layer the color cardstock on the card fronts, so you can maximize the number of cards you can get from the expensive color cardstock. It also saves you from worrying about how you’re going to write on the inside of a dark card.
And to show that I do follow my own rules, here’s a simple 2 layer card, made with 2 stamp sets: one for the flowers and one for the sentiment. I fancied it up with a layer of patterned paper and some rounded corners. Stamps are by Rubbernecker.
