Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Butterfly Bush Release Blog Hop + Giveaway (Total of $200 prizes)

Hello, and thanks for being here! I appreciate your persistence if getting all the way to the bottom of the list! You arrived here from SathyaKala Sankaran, and if you missed any of the Hop, you can start fresh from the Altenew Card Blog.

This creates such a pretty flower, and it’s a really good way to start your Craft-A-Flower Subscription since the layering isn’t terribly complex. Before I get to my card, here’s some information about it: Craft-A-Flower is a monthly subscription plan, and when you sign up, you are guaranteed a spot in the monthly Craft-A-Flower releases and will receive the set each month - at a specially discounted price ($35.99 →$29.99). You aren’t obligated once you sign up, and you can manage the subscription anytime you’d like! Whether you currently subscribe or plan to start, I would advise you to buy the Altenew Double-Sided Adhesive sheets. They make stacking die cuts so much easier and there are no messy glues to fuss with!

As soon as I saw this die set, I knew I needed to recreate one of the butterfly bushes I have in my garden. I love the colors in this varietal, and I thought recreating it in watercolors would help me best capture the vibrant colors!

I used the Deck Planks 3-D Embossing Folder for the background, then went over it lightly with Vanilla Cream ink, to highlight the texture.

I cut the flower’s layers from Altenew Watercolor Paper and colored them with the Spring Garden set of Watercolor Brush Markers in Autumn Blaze, Rubellite, and Midnight Violet. Then I sprayed them with some Iridescent Shimmer Spray (just because).

I stamped a sentiment from the Carpe Diem Stamp set in Midnight Violet. I really love the selection of sentiments from that set.

Have a closer look!

Did you know Altenew is also doing a Giveaway?! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $20 gift certificate to 5 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post by 05/13/2022 for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 7 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 05/15/2022.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I really appreciate your taking the time to be here!

And if you haven’t already, stop by the Altenew Card Blog in case you missed anything!

Until next time, take care, and be kind!

Hugs,

Sue
