Something to Celebrate!
I believe there’s always something to celebrate, and the Celebrations Stamp Set certainly makes that simple! Combine that with stencils, and you have the Celebrations Stencil Techniques class.
Remember the post about ink blending? (you can read it here) I put that to use with the Sunburst Stencil and my new favorite ink blenders, and suddenly it made a plain card look pretty cool! A little tip: use a lightly stick tape to made sure the stencil is well-attached to the cardstock panel (ask me how I know).
I applied Warm Sunshine ink toward the center of the panel, and Fresh Lemon to the outside. I liked how it looked a little more interesting than just a single-color card.
Using the Celebration stamps and matching dies, I stamped some boxes with my favorite Obsidian Ink, and cut them out with the matching dies. For some reason, I didn’t fuss over their placement, I just put them in a jumble (ok, an organized jumble) because who doesn’t love a pile of boxes?! Used the Obsidian ink once again to stamp “Celebrate”, and then I did the most difficult thing possible - I walked away!
I really enjoyed making this card, it was pretty quick and easy, but yet it packed a punch! I hope you enjoyed it too!
Take care, and be kind,
Sue
