Papercrafting - With a Twist

Twist 3.jpg

“With a Twist” was a class that encouraged us to think a little out of the box with color. So I decided to use one of my favorite color combinations, orange and blue! And a set I’ve never used - Rosey Outlook.

I started with a base of Moonrock cardstock because it isn’t a bright white, and has a little variation for interest (you’ll see it in the close-up).

For my orange color, I used the Golden Sunset set of mini cubes, and for the blue, I used one of my favorite ink sets, Glacier Caves.

Did you notice the awesomeness at the bottom of the ink pads? Those are the new Ink Labels! There is one for each mini pad, and while you may not share my enthusiasm, they are a great way to never put the wrong lid on the wrong ink pad. Nothing makes a project go south faster than accidentally using the wrong color ink!

After stamping the orange flowers, and blue leaves, I used my trusty Mini Blossom Die Cutter and the matching dies. I was left with a bunch of flowers and leaves to play with!

Before I stamped my greeting, I made an arrangement on the front of the card with the flowers and leaves, because I learn from experience. And of course, I used Glad Press and Seal to hold it together before I glued it all down.

Of course I used a stamp from my new favorite greeting set - Block Sentiments! I like the bold strong greetings, another twist, because of the contrast between the pretty floral and the strong greeting.

Then it was just a matter of putting it all together! And adding some gold splatter! I’m getting really fond of adding splatter!

It’s a real treat when I’m able to accurately put the card in my head onto paper!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed your time!

As always, take care, and be kind

Sue
